Biography:

Prof. Paolo De Simone specialist in general surgery and is Director of the Complex Operational Unit of University Liver Surgery and Liver Transplants at the University Hospital of Pisa. He mainly deals with liver transplants, hepatobiliary surgery, treatment of liver and biliary tumors, treatment of liver cirrhosis and liver failure. Having graduated in Medicine and Surgery with top marks from the University of Rome La Sapiens in 1992, he specialized in General Surgery at the same University five years later. In 2004, Prof. De Simone obtained the prestigious title of PhD summa cum laude in Surgical Physiopathology center experience”.He is currently Director of the Complex Operational Unit of University Liver Surgery and Liver Transplants at the University Hospital of Pisa. He is the author of national and international scientific publications.
