Biography:

Dr. Anand Kar is M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the reputed, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), India. He is currently serving as a senior Professor in Dept of Life Sciences, Devi Ahilya University(DAVV), Indore, India with 36 years+ of PG teaching & 43 yrs+ of research experience. He has acted as the Dean, Chairman Board of studies & Head in Life Sciences; Member in Executive council(EC), Academic council, Committee for Fostering Research & Animal Ethical Committee of DAVV,India. He has been awarded with prestigious Common Wealth Academic Fellowship, UK; U.G.C. Career Res. Award; Young Scientist award from Indian Science Congress;Best Science Teacher-Researcher award of the University (2010) by MPCST. In 2017, he has been felicitated with highest citation of research papers in DAVV, Indore; for his outstanding contribution in Research by Zoological Soc. of India and Life time achievement Award by ESW society, India in 2018. He has published 172 full length research papers, including 131 in International journals of repute & 31 in reputed National Journals. In addition, 02 chapters in books (CRC & Stadium press, USA) and 6 review papers. He has supervised 19 Ph.D. scholars (all most all are NET or GATE qualified, now well settled). His total citations is > 6,358, h-index-43 & i10 index-108 as on 20.9.’23. He is reviewer of some national and international journals and Editor of 7 different International Journals. In 2, journals “Thyroid letter” & “Journal of Stroke Research and Rehabilitation “he is the only editor form India. He has delivered invited talks in many national and international symposia / conferences including a plenary talk in South Korea & has also chaired scientific sessions.
