Biography:

Full Professor of Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics at the Physics Department of the University degli Studi di Milano, with a permanent faculty position. Also affiliated with a scientific research assignment at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics . Holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University de Paris-sud Xi, with a thesis focusing on the search for WIMPs from the galactic halo in the EDELWEISS experiment. Completed undergraduate studies in Physics at Milano University, specializing in Particle Physics, with a thesis on low gamma activity measurements applied to double beta decay on excited levels of the daughter nucleus.
